We don't have to wait for a new day to start again—we can start over right now.
When things are not going well today, it can be easy to look forward to tomorrow and all its possibilities. While it is true that every day will be different tomorrow, we do not need to wait for that to happen to start again today. We can begin anew at any time, purging our energy field of any built-up negativity and declaring this very now to be the start of our brand-new day.
Something about the break of dawn and the early morning hours makes us feel refreshed and invigorated, ready to take on the day with enthusiasm. The day goes on, and we lose part of this lively vitality and the motivation it offers. This could be the reason we anticipate tomorrow since it offers the chance for regeneration. The reason so many people gaze east during rituals is because there are many traditions that believe that the light of the rising sun has particularly celestial origins. It is possible for us to harness the energy of the rising sun within ourselves, utilizing its ability to reawaken and revitalize us throughout the day and night.
Keeping an image or photo of the rising sun in our wallet or pocketbook is one easy approach to accomplish this. We can use this picture as our computer's screensaver or hang it on the wall at home or at work. We can pause to look at the picture and let its light fill our souls when we feel the urge to start over. We may declare aloud or silently to ourselves, "I'm ready to start over and let go of the past" while we work on this. As we exhale, we may picture everything we wish to let go of going out of us, and as we inhale, we can welcome the new energy of the eastern sun and let it guide us into a brand-new day.
